With the cash-rich league marking its 10th season this year, it has re-activated its immensely popular initiative of Fan Park all across the country for the third consecutive year. With the massive turnout of cricket fans last year, IPL promises to make the Fan Park this year even bigger and better.
The world’s richest T20 tournament is held every year in summer and is a 2 month fair for the cricket enthusiasts. It is not possible to host a game in all cricket crazy cities of the country, only home venues gets to host a couple of matches. For all the cricket lovers in India, IPL launched its Fan Park initiative in the year 2015 with the purpose of engaging fans from all across the country in the league. Fan Parks are constructed in open areas and stadiums broadcasting all the action of IPL live on giant TV screens, creating a stadium-like atmosphere for the fans over the weekends. The entry to these Fan Park is free and on a first-come-first-serve basis. With the access to merchandise, food and beverage stalls and music the fans will be able to feel like they are in the stadium-carnival like atmosphere. Special arrangements have been to make them women and children friendly.
